#HERITAGETEACHERS // Tatiana Popa: “The trend is to develop in our students skills that are necessary and applicable in everyday life”

Tatiana Popa is an English teacher and the Global Learning Coordinator at Heritage International School. She has a bachelor’s degree of Philology (English Language and Literature - German Language) and holds a master's degree in Philology (English). As an authorized eTwinning Ambassador to Moldova, as well as an active member and trainer of the Moldovan English Teachers Association (META), she organizes and participates in events to share her knowledge and experience with other teachers (from our country and from abroad) interested in global education and innovative teaching methods. #HERITAGETEACHERS // Adriana Bujag: “Heritage offers opportunities and experiences that form students as global citizens”

Adriana Bujag is a primary school teacher at Heritage International School. She graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, specialized in “Pedagogy and methodology of primary education” at the “Alecu Russo” State University of Bălţi. Adriana Bujag has a first teaching degree, she is a national trainer at  the Institute of Educational Sciences, has a certification in “Introduction to Cambridge Primary” and a master’s degree in Educational Sciences. In the current edition of the national “eTwinning Annual Conference”, Adriana Bujag won the first prize in the “Primary” category, for her hard work and dedication in carrying out the project “The Book of Four Seasons” together with her students. #HERITAGETEACHERS // Consuelo Johnson: “I knew that at Heritage I would have a wonderful international experience”

Consuelo Johnson is a math teacher from North Carolina, United States. She has been working as a teacher for 21 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, specializing in Math, a master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) and is currently working on a master’s in Leadership. This school year, she joined Heritage International Schools as a math teacher. Read more

Heritage teachers acquire innovative educational practices

They are working with dedication even on holidays, and recently, Heritage teachers participated in a seminar on “The Future of Education and Transdisciplinary Learning”, held in Sibiu, Romania, at the Finnish Teacher Training Center, in partnership with EduStudio Helsinki. The purpose of the event was to get acquainted with successfully implemented practices in Finland, where the educational system is recognized as one of the best in the world, and the students are at the forefront of international academic competitions. Climate change, explained to students through innovative methods: “Keep Cool” game was organized at Heritage

How would our planet look like if the decisions concerning its future were taken by children? Would the states of the world ally to save it or would each of them act in a selfish manner, depending on their own economic and political interests? These are just some of the challenges that have tested the students of the Heritage International School for 2 hours, during which time they experienced the “Keep Cool” interactive game. Besides learning the art of negotiation, learners have tested their knowledge of climate change and have better understood its effects. Read more

They tested their knowledge in the most prestigious international competition for students, organized for the second time in Moldova

“World Scholar’s Cup”, the prestigious international academic contest, was held in Chisinau for the second consecutive year. The second edition of the competition, hosted by Heritage, enjoyed popularity and the number of those who signed up for the contest of excellence almost doubled. Approximately 260 learners from 26 schools in the country put their knowledge to test and had the opportunity to develop new skills by competing with each other. As the host of this contest, Heritage has reconfirmed not only the title of the best educational institution in Moldova, which complies with the criteria for organizing large-scale international competitions, but also a school that forms the basis of quality education and contributes to the development of 21st century students. Being convinced that the mission of guiding minors in the responsible exploration of virtual space comes first of all to adults, Heritage has organized a workshop for parents in the school community, where the best experts in the country provided valuable advice on online safety and the ways you can protect your child on the Internet. They are the team of #InternetFaraGriji (‘Internet without worries) project, launched last year by the Moldcell mobile communications company, in partnership with the International Center "La Strada" and "Tekwill Academy Kids".
