The “World Scholar’s Cup” 2025 Contest Was Successfully Held at Heritage International School!

08 April 2025

380 students from all over the country joined the regional round of the “World Scholar’s Cup” 2025 international contest hosted by Heritage International School for the fifth time. With new energy and enthusiasm, the participants achieved outstanding results at the four events of the contest, winning gold and silver medals, as well as trophies.

Inga Chiosa, Acting Director and Academic Director, Heritage: “Our students keep demonstrating exceptional academic performance at this event for the fifth consecutive year. We are proud of our young people who can take part in an intellectual contest in English and rely exclusively on their own knowledge and aptitudes. We would also like to congratulate all the participants, the younger ones and the older ones: we appreciate the awards they have won!”

The theme of this year’s edition of the contest is “Reigniting the future”: the participants from 15 schools in the Republic of Moldova discussed interesting topics, solved quizzes, took part in intellectual challenges, and demonstrated their writing talents.

Adelina, 9th grader: “It was an amazing experience, and what I really like about it is that it gives us an opportunity to learn during the contest itself. It is beneficial for young people because you can test your English in several ways, and I’ll keep taking part in it every year to learn some new things.”

Alexandra, 9th grader: “What I like about WSC the most is meeting new people, cooperating with my teammates, and enjoying victory!”

Creativity was the key feature of the contest for the participants aged 8-19! The kids joined interactive activities designed in order to test their teamwork skills, creativity, abilities to convince the others, and cooperation.

Arianna, 9th grader: “When I think about the World Scholar's Cup, I don’t regard it only as a competition – it’s an adventure of ideas, an experience of working in teams, and a chance to make new friends.”

The contest is not over yet! The regional round winners will be taking part in the global round on July 11-16, 2025: they will have a chance to compete with the other countries’ representatives in Ljubljana, Doha, Bangkok, Seoul, Shenzhen, Kuala Lumpur or Christchurch.

This event was full of emotions and expectations! Would you like to discover the atmosphere of the contest? Visit the photo album: https://www.heritage.md/ro/gallery-page/world-scholar-s-cup-2025
