Free education for 8 students at the only Cambridge School in the country! The most talented children can apply for the “Heritage Scholarships”

15 May 2019

Quality international education is now available to students with outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements. Heritage International School invites 6-9 grade learners from the country’s schools to join the newly-launched “Heritage Scholarships” program for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The “Heritage Scholarships” program involves organizing a contest where students' knowledge, skills and creativity will be tested, and winners will receive scholarships to study at Heritage International School, the only Cambridge School in the Republic of Moldova. In the next academic year, 8 students will benefit from Heritage scholarships: two students (one in the Romanian class and one in the Russian class) for each of the 6th , 7th, 8th and 9th grades.

The Scholarship recipients will become Heritage students and will benefit from:
- tuition fee waiver of 100%
- free attendance of Heritage extracurricular clubs.

The recipient student's family will only cover the related costs: school uniform, nutrition, transportation, textbooks, participation in trips and out-of-school activities.

How to apply for the “Heritage Scholarships”

The competition will take place in two stages:
1. Examining candidates’ files. Each participant, accompanied by parents, will submit the complete file in person, at Heritage International School (45A, Dacia Blvd, Chisinau) from May 15th to June 7th, 2019. The file will contain, besides personal documents and previous school records, proofs of extraordinary academic and non-educational achievements (diplomas, certificates, personal projects, social activities, etc.). The Committee of Experts and the Executive Committee will examine the files and select the candidates who will reach the second stage.
2. The interview. In the first part of the interview, candidates will be invited to be creative and innovative in making their own presentation using various methods: in the form of a game, a monologue, a recorded video, etc. In the second part, the Committee of Experts and the Executive Committee will prepare a set of questions for each candidate (based on the information provided by the applicant in the file) in order to assess the learner’s knowledge, the coherence of the discourse, the originality of the answers, and the level of English knowledge.

The results of the competition will be announced on July 3rd, 2019. For more information on the “Heritage Scholarships” program and the application procedure, see the Regulations or contact us at 062020108 or 062022210.

The “Heritage Scholarships” initiative is part of the “GO Heritage” Social Corporate Responsibility Program of the Heritage International School, which provides for: the development and promotion of quality education, the encouragement of civic spirit through volunteering and philanthropy, social development, protecting the environment, the development of the Heritage community and the development of business ethics.
