Heritage invites Moldovan students to participate in the international competition “Owlypia”

06 May 2022

Students from the Republic of Moldova now have the opportunity to participate in the prestigious international competition “Owlypia – Local Moldova Virtual Round”, dedicated to students in three age categories: 9-11 years, 12-14 years and 15-18 years. The main objective of the event is the intellectual challenge of young minds, and the theme of this year's edition is “Innovation: what's next?”.

4 challenges and 5 subjects for students

Young intellectuals have the chance to develop their skills, stimulate creativity, work in a team, make new friends and put their ideas into practice, applying their knowledge in one of the 5 areas of the competition:

  • Social Sciences,
  • Art and Design,
  • Literature and Culture,
  • Science and Technology,
  • Economy and Business.

During the event, students will compete in 4 challenges (Knowledge, Impromptu, Speech Craft and Team Spirit), being encouraged to overcome their academic limitations, to discover new skills and the most appropriate ways to learn for them.

How can students participate in Owlypia?

In order to participate in the “Owlypia – Local Moldova Virtual Round” students should:

  • have a good level of English (the official language of the event);
  • register at www.owlypia.org/register/local, using the MOL41 code, to benefit from a substantial discount;
  • choose their favourite subject;
  • form a team with 3 friends/colleagues;
  • study the resources together with the team;
  • accept the challenges of the competition!
